Most people you’ll meet will speak fairly good English but before you embark on your adventure, learn the following basic phrases, and make the most of your trip!
When conversing politely with locals, male speakers add “ครับ” (khrap). This is also commonly pronounced as ‘Khap’. Female speakers add “ค่ะ” (kha/ka) at the end of their sentences. These terms serve as politeness markers and do not change the meaning of the sentence.
